- Guiding the attention back to the present, each time the mind wanders (it will)
- Doing so with a sense of patience and gentleness

Format
- 8 x 2 hour sessions, delivered weekly
- Delivered live online through video conferencing (zoom)
- Home practice activities for 45-60 minutes each day
- 6 hour silent retreat on a Saturday or Sunday (facilitated entirely online and does not require interaction, so you can follow it independently at your own convenience)
- Each session includes a mixture of mindfulness practice, discussion about this practice and stress reduction exercises
- Participants do not need to share their personal histories in the group, no one is asked to do anything they don’t want to
